So, getting motivated to do this has been harder than I thought! I'm still trying to figure out where to start and where to go with this...so forgive the random thoughts - but I guess that what a blog is for. :-).
Our journey this past year and and half has been a test in faith for me. Chris has been wanting to do his own projects for awhile and stepped into the house flipping market just as the forclosures starting becoming available. He has purchased two houses and our lives and resources have been poured into these properties. Of course, life has happened - causing delays and strains (and much anxiety on my part!) But through it all, God has held me in the palm of His hand and is reminding me daily to trust Him. I don't know what is going to happen with our finances (this economy is taking a toll on us) - but our circumstances keep me in constant prayer.
Several other trials have come our way this year - some caused by decisions we've made, but most out of our control. I am just so thankful that I have a hope - a future - with a Father who loves me - who loves my family. He has given me wonderful friends that point me back to Him and a family who loves me. I am studying the life of David and going through 1 Peter with a friend - I look forward to sharing what God is teaching me through His word.

Man, time has flown by. I am way behind on keeping up with this blog. Granted, we haven't had any big trips since 2005 - but we have been a few places. I will make sure to do a brief summary soon! But I think, for now, I am going to shift focus a little on this blog. Due to the circumstances in our life, we won't be traveling much for a bit - so I think I will start sharing the spiritual journey I am on right now. We have an amazing God - and He is showing Himself to me daily.
Unfortunately, I need to get up to Auburn to work on a house....so I will have to continue this later. But I am looking forward to sharing all that God has been doing with my messed up life! :-)
